Wanda F. Payne, 88, of Lampasas died on April 24, 2022 at her residence. Services will be private. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements. Wanda was born in Lometa on Nov. 25, 1933 to K.L. Lindsey and Pearl (Walker) Lindsey.

Retired 1 st Sgt. Billie C. Jones of Anniston, Alabama died Jan. 27, 2022. Bill was born in Gatesville, Texas, on Oct. 25, 1931 to W.T. Jones and Jennie Sims Jones. When he was a young boy, the family moved to Lampasas, where he grew up. He joined the U.S.

Ruby Lee Miller was born Sept. 16, 1937 to the Izoro family of Mr. Walter “Pete” Ayers and his wife, Lillie Mae Ayers. She died on April 9, 2022. Ruby was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorathy Grahm and Louise Rice.
