Theodore J. Alexander, 73, died in San Antonio on July 14, 2022 of natural causes.
He was born on Oct. 23, 1948, in Abilene, one of five sons of Marion Robert Alexander Sr. and Margaret Shipman.
He graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School in San Antonio, where he was a student-athlete.
Later in life he completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting and worked for the IRS. He also completed a master’s degree in divinity.
He lived a humble life and served the Lord. He preached and lived by the Beatitudes in Matthew 5:3-12. He was a longtime resident of Del Rio, where he ministered to the poor.
He is survived by his three children, Theodore Jacob Alexander, Samuel Alexander and Sharon Mjelde; three brothers, Daniel, Timothy and Paul Alexander; his seven grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his brother Marion Robert Alexander Jr., and by three wives, Laura, Valerie and Ramona Alexander.
A graveside funeral service and burial will be held in the Alexander Cemetery in Lampasas at 11 a.m. July 25. Heritage Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
