Kevin Wade Connolly, 58, died at his home in Burnet on May 21, 2023. Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas on May 26 at 10 a.m. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements. Kevin was born on March 20, 1965 to Jerry Connolly and Becky Greer.

Barbara Ann Withrow, 64, of Lampasas died on May 21, 2023. Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on May 26 from 6-8 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Bethel Cemetery on May 27 at 10 a.m. Barbara was born on Sept. 28, 1958, to Truitt and Juanita Faye (Hamilton) Carroll.

Dr. King

Stephen Charles King Jr., M.D., Ph.D., of Kempner died on May 23, 2023 in Temple at the age of 78. Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on May 27 at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will take place prior to the service at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel from 1-2 p.m. He was born on Dec.

Mrs. Yates

Barbara Annette (Berry) Yates, 86, died May 19, 2023, at the Lampasas Assisted Living Center. Visitation was held at Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas on May 23. Services followed at 2:30 p.m., with Joe Manuel and Glendon Nicks officiating. Interment was at Kempner City Cemetery.

Mr. Skains

Douglas W. Skains, 87, of Lampasas died May 16, 2023 at Lily Springs Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. His body will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. He was born Sept. 3, 1935 in Brownfield. He had lived in Lampasas for 10 years, having moved here from Canyon City, Colorado.

Mr. Hoozer

Michael Duane Hoozer, 70, of Lampasas died May 15, 2023. Born in Beaumont in 1952 to Bryant Earl Hoozer and Hazel Lucille Smith, Mike was the baby of the family’s 10 children.

Mr. Achord

Richard Joseph Achord, 80, of Lampasas died May 17, 2023 in Lampasas. A rosary will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on May 23 at 6 p.m., with visitation to follow. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on May 24, with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Greer

Sid Greer, 86, of Lampasas died at home on May 17, 2023. Graveside services were held at Zephyr Cemetery on May 22 at 10:30 a.m. Sid was born on June 8, 1936 in Zephyr to Fred and Grace (Fisher) Greer. He was one of five sons. He graduated from Zephyr High School in 1954.

Mr. Kennedy

Ethan Orion Kennedy, 30, died May 14, 2023 in Tyler. Ethan was born on Nov. 4, 1992, to Shelley and Doug Kennedy in Houston. Graveside services will be held at High Valley Cemetery in Bend on May 24 at 2 p.m. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas has charge of arrangements.

Mr. Henniger

Peter “Pete” Andrew Henniger, 62, died on May 4, 2023, at his home in Bend. Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on May 12 from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held at First Street Church of Christ on May 13 at 2 p.m., with interment to follow at the Clark Family Cemetery in Bend.
