Mr. Smith

John Robert Smith, 81, died on Sept. 14, 2023, at his home in Lampasas. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Lampasas on Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. A private burial was held at Pattison Cemetery in Emhouse. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel had charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hart

Services for William Wesley “Bill” Hart, age 83, of Palestine, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 26, 2023 at Rhone Funeral Home in Palestine. The family will hold a private interment at Kempner Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the start of the service.

Mrs. Yeske

Betty Ann Yeske, 93, of Lampasas, died on Sept. 12, 2023. Funeral services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Sept. 30 at 2 p.m., with visitation from noon to 2 p.m. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas will follow the service. Betty was born on Aug.

Mr. Nuckles

Reuben Lee Nuckles, 82, died on Sept. 6, 2023. Funeral services will be held at School Creek Baptist Church on Sept. 9 at 10:30 a.m., with interment to follow at Smith Cemetery at School Creek.

Mr. Smith

Raymond Patrick Smith died on Aug. 26, 2023. He was born May 8, 1965 in Lampasas to Raymond and Annette A. Smith. Patrick was an oldfashioned barber and the owner of Cove Barber Shop. He previously resided in Anchorage, Alaska for 30 years.

Mr. Pitman

Carl Dean Pitman, 78, died at home in Kempner on Aug. 24, 2023, after a 12-year battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at First Street Church of Christ on Aug. 29 at noon, with visitation an hour prior. Graveside services with military honors will follow at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Salerno

Judith Mary Allen Salerno, 81, died in Lampasas on Aug. 24, 2023. She was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, on Dec. 20, 1941, to Walter R. Allen and Patricia Farrell Allen. She is survived by Charles S.

Mr. Moran

Richard Carl “Dick” Moran, 92, died on Aug. 26, 2023, at Lampasas Assisted Living after a long battle with lung disease. A private memorial service and interment at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen will be held at a later date.
