Mrs. Sydow

Lucille “Lucy” Sydow, 84, of Lampasas died on Dec. 1, 2021. She became a resident of Lampasas two years ago, moving from Pontotoc, Texas after the death of her husband, Robert. Lucy (Kacal) Sydow was born on March 31, 1937 in Hillje, Texas to Joseph and Mary Sliva Kacal.

Services set for former county judge Ed Lilley

Virgil Edgar “Ed” Lilley, who served two terms as Lampasas County judge, died Dec. 1, 2021 at his home. He was 82. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 4 at New Covenant Church in Lampasas, with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m.

Mr. Wilkinson

James Robert Wilkinson died at the age of 91 on Nov. 19, 2021, at Peach Creek Assisted Living in College Station. Funeral services will be held at Sneed Funeral Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 23, with Dr. Rick Willis officiating. The family will greet friends at 2 p.m., prior to the service.

Mrs. Hodges

Gwendolyn Ruth Hodges, 92, of Lampasas died on Nov. 16, 2021, at Lily Springs in Lampasas. Graveside services were held at Groves Cemetery in Lampasas County on Nov. 19. Gwen was born Sept. 29, 1929, in Lometa to Daniel and Virgy Clark.

Ms. Allen

Sandra Nichols Allen, 77 — formerly of Coahoma, Denver City, Odessa and McKinney — died Nov. 13, 2021 in her Lampasas home. At her request, two memorial services will be held: • Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. at the Llano Church of Christ, with Troy Singleton officiating; and • Dec. 11 at 2 p.m.

Mr. McCord

David “Brian” McCord died at his home in Lampasas on Nov. 14, 2021. Brian was born on April 26, 1957 in Uvalde to Walter Ray “Pat” McCord and Aquila Hendricks “Kitty” McCord. Raised in the Dallas area, Brian was a 1974 graduate from St. Mark’s High School.

Mrs. Clayton

Mabel Lee Clayton, 78, of Lampasas died on Nov. 13, 2021, at AdventHealth Rollins Brook in Lampasas. Mabel was born on Jan. 2, 1943, in Magoffin County, Kentucky to Tommy Green and Tressie Rowe Green.

Mr. George

Wayne Michael George, 62, of Pidcoke died at home on Nov. 12, 2021. The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 16 at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Nov. 17 at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home.

Mrs. Collins

Nancy Lynn Collins, 73, of Lampasas died on Nov. 11, 2021, at Lampasas Nursing and Rehabilitation. Visitation was held Nov. 14 at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Graveside services took place at Oak Hill Cemetery on Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. Nancy was born July 22, 1948 in Austin.

Services set Wednesday for Sue Faulkner

Longtime city attorney Sue Zane McMillin Faulkner died Nov. 13, 2021 at AdventHealth Central Texas in Killeen. She was 76. Visitation will be Nov. 16 from 5-7 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Lampasas on Nov. 17 at 11 a.m.
