Mr. Rabren

Bob Rabren died on Oct. 25, 2021 at the age of 80. He was born in Evergreen, Alabama to Raymond and Edna Rabren. Bob spent his childhood in Gulf Shores, Alabama, the oldest of 14 children.

Mrs. Tovar

Paula Tovar, 64, died on Nov. 1, 2021 in Fort Worth. Visitation was held at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Nov. 4, with a rosary that followed. Funeral Mass will be Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Crawford

Ginger Brice Crawford, 76, of Bastrop and formerly of Lampasas, died on Oct. 27, 2021. Funeral services were held at Sneed Funeral Chapel on Oct. 30, followed by interment at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas. Ginger was born on Aug.

Mrs. Herring

Thelma Herring of Lampasas, 100, died Oct. 29, 2021. She was born on Jan. 11, 1921 in Belton to F.E. and Estelle Hayter. A graduate of Belton High School, Thelma and D.C. Herring were married on Aug. 3, 1941. They had celebrated 52 years of marriage at the time of D.C.'s death in 1992.

Mr. McLean

Cloyce Frank McLean of Lampasas was born on Oct. 28, 1948, and he died Aug. 17, 2021. A graveside service will be held Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Longtime cafe owner, Spring Ho festival founder Gary Martin dies

Gary Martin, who managed Martin’s Restaurant for more than 40 years, died at his home in Lampasas on Oct. 24, 2021. A graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on Oct. 31 at 1 p.m. Gary was born in Marble Falls on May 26, 1936 to Delbert James Martin and Stella Eloise Alderson Martin.

Mrs. Glasscock

Karen Irvine Glasscock, 78, of Lampasas died Oct. 23, 2021. She was born June 28, 1943 at Rollins Brook Hospital in Lampasas, the daughter of Robert and Ava (Brooks) Irvine of Rumley. Karen was raised in Rumley, the second child of six children.

Mr. Barlow

Darian Nelson Duane Barlow, 21, died on Oct. 16, 2021. He was born on Nov. 22, 1999 in Temple to Tony Duane Barlow and Tammy Jo Guthrie Fagan. Darian was an aspiring musician and singer. His stage name was Ybeezo. He attended Lampasas High School and was a Badger football and basketball player.

Mr. Mowell

Kendall Lee Mowell, 63, of Killeen died on Oct. 16, 2021 at Kindred Hospital in Arlington, Texas. Visitation will be held at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas from 9-9:30 a.m. Oct. 23. A prelude concert will start at 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.

Mr. Barker

Charles Dean “Charlie” Barker, a longtime resident of Lampasas and Lampasas County, died Oct. 16, 2021 in Llano. Charles was born on Sept. 6, 1941 to George Barker Jr. and Fannie Lorene Klose Barker. He graduated from Lampasas High School in 1960.
