Mrs. Phillips

Wanda Louise Phillips, 68, of Lampasas died on March 3, 2022 at Lily Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lampasas. Wanda had lived most of her life in Lampasas. She was born on Dec. 16, 1953 in Austin to Benny and Gladys (Stinnett) Brown.

Mr. McWhorter

Johnnie Willis McWhorter, 91, died on March 2, 2022 at Heritage Park Rehabilitation Facility in Austin. A funeral service will A funeral service will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. on March 8. Visitation with the family will be at the funeral home an hour prior.

Mrs. Biddy

Ann Louise Biddy, 87, a longtime resident of Lampasas, died on Feb. 28, 2022 at Lily Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lampasas. She was born on July 18, 1934 in El Paso to Douglas and Alpha Louise (Kurtz) Hollaman. She and Billy Ray Biddy married in 1953 in Abilene.

Mrs. Chambers

Lucille Chambers, 98, of Lampasas, died on Feb. 28, 2022. Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on March 5 at 2 p.m. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements. She was born Edna Lucille Cole on Dec.

Mr. Gooch

James "Jim" Gooch, 74, died on Feb. 14, 2022, at Advent-Health Central Texas in Killeen. A memorial service will be held March 11 at 2 p.m. at Fairfield Harmony Presbyterian Church, 119 W. Main St. in Fairfield. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas has charge of arrangements.

Mr. Montgomery

Hugh Lawrence “Monty” Montgomery, 90, died on Feb. 16, 2022, at Lily Springs Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Lampasas. A memorial service will be held at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church, 3160 U.S. Highway 183 South at 10:30 a.m. March 12.

Mr. Bettis

Mr. Willie Gene Bettis, 92, of Lampasas County died at his residence on Feb. 28, 2022. He was born on Aug. 29, 1929, in Cushing, Texas to Marcus Eugene Bettis and Dovie King Bettis. Willie grew up in Cushing. In 1946, he moved to Jal, in southeast New Mexico.

Mr. Henderson

Wendell Ray Henderson, 82, of Lampasas died at his residence on Feb. 26, 2022. Wendell was born Dec. 17, 1939, in Olustee, Oklahoma to Larry and Thelma Lee (Parker) Bettencourt. He graduated from Altus High School in 1958. Wendell married Brenda Bennett on July 5, 1980. He served in the U.S.

Mr. Miller

Jim Hale Miller Jr., 70, died on Feb. 19, 2022, in Lampasas. Memorial services will be held at Church of the Hills in Lometa on March 19 at 2 p.m. Jim was born on Oct. 13, 1951, in Buda to Jim and Annie Miller.

Mr. Treadwell

Larry Duane Treadwell, 64, a resident of Lampasas for the past 62 years, died at his residence on Feb. 22, 2022. He was born in Kerrville on May 11, 1957, to William Arthur Treadwell and Jo Ann Ray. Larry was happy painting, writing and playing music. He was a retired sheetmetal mechanic.
