Jim Hale Miller Jr., 70, died on Feb. 19, 2022, in Lampasas.
Memorial services will be held at Church of the Hills in Lometa on March 19 at 2 p.m.
Jim was born on Oct. 13, 1951, in Buda to Jim and Annie Miller.
He graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a master’s degree in criminal justice and served in the Army National Guard. He worked in law enforcement for over 40 years and was honored as a Texas Narcotics Officer of the Year.
He enjoyed living on his ranch, taking care of his exotics, and being outdoors hunting and fishing. Jim loved to be surrounded by his family and friends.
Survivors include his sons Michael Miller and wife Amy of Lometa, and Jim Hale “JH” Miller III and wife Crystal of Lampasas; and five grandchildren.
