Jerry “J.D./Hippie” Thomas, 73, of Lometa died on March 17, 2022, in Temple. A viewing will be offered anytime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on April 1 at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas.

Mr. Howe

Charles Richard Howe, 78, of Kempner died March 15, 2022, at his residence in Kempner. He was born in La Marque on May 24, 1943, to Hank and Lois (Halliburton) Howe. Chuck grew up in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School in 1962. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army.

Mr. Cruz

Jesse Guadalupe Cruz, 50, of Lometa died on March 14, 2022 in Temple. He was born on Aug. 2, 1971, in Brownfield to Joe and Margarita (Felan) Cruz. Jesse had lived in Lometa since 1983. He was a Certified Nursing Assistant and did general labor in the Lometa area.

Mr. Green

Roy “Timothy” Green, 65, of Lampasas died on March 9, 2022, at AdventHealth Central Texas in Killeen. Visitation was held March 13 at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel. Funeral services were March 14 at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel, with interment at Kempner Cemetery.

Ms. Bradley

Judy Ann Bradley, 58, died on March 6, 2022 at AdventHealth Rollins Brook in Lampasas. Visitation was held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on March 10, with a rosary that followed. A memorial mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church on March 11 at 1 p.m. Judy was born on Oct.

Mr. Criss

Keith Criss, retired Lt. Col USA, of Copperas Cove died March 5, 2022 in Copperas Cove at the age of 87. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. March 11 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with full military honors and Masonic rites will follow at the Gatesville Masonic Cemetery.

Mr. Reyna

Paulino Anthony Reyna, 48, a lifelong resident of Lampasas, died on March 6, 2022 at his residence. He was born on May 8, 1973 in Lampasas to Eusebio Barron and Beatrice Reyna. Paul loved life. He was curious and loved to read and learn new things.

Lori Sue Erickson Veach

Lori Sue Erickson Veach was born in Hampton, Iowa on February 12, 1959 to Robert William Erickson and Shirley Ann Erickson. Lori was born with an older sister Cindy and an older brother Eric. A younger brother Bill came along a few years later.

Mrs. Carden

Dianne Marie Carden, 77, a resident of Lampasas for the past 19 years, died March 2, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Kearney, Nebraska on Dec. 15, 1944, to Fred Sanderson and Marianne Jungles Sanderson. She grew up in Lometa.

Mrs. Singleton

Kassie Ann (Johnson) Singleton, 82, of Lampasas died March 3, 2022. Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on March 10 at 2 p.m., with visitation an hour prior. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Kassie was born on Oct. 29, 1939 in Goldthwaite to LV and Artie Mae Johnson.
