Kassie Ann (Johnson) Singleton, 82, of Lampasas died March 3, 2022.
Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on March 10 at 2 p.m., with visitation an hour prior. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Kassie was born on Oct. 29, 1939 in Goldthwaite to LV and Artie Mae Johnson.
In 1958, she married her high school sweetheart, James Lloyd Singleton. They had three children: Rozene, James and Byron. Throughout her life, she worked at various places, but nothing was as important to her as being a mother and wife. She also raised three of her grandchildren.
Kassie was an avid reader, often switching out books from the library. She was quick-witted and had a spitfire personality.
She is survived by her sister, Artie Hammond of Goldthwaite; children James Singleton of Houston, and Byron Singleton and wife Sarah of Austin; grandchildren Quinton Singleton and wife Sheila of Killeen, Crystal Martinez and husband Jorge of Copperas Cove, Taryn Singleton of Ennis, Dylon Singleton of Lampasas, Skyler McKinney of Houston, and Savannah Lance of Cleveland, Georgia; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lloyd Singleton; sister, Anita Boyd; brother, Jeffie Johnson; daughter, Rozene Nance; and a grandson, Michael Lance.
