Dianne Marie Carden, 77, a resident of Lampasas for the past 19 years, died March 2, 2022 at her residence.
She was born in Kearney, Nebraska on Dec. 15, 1944, to Fred Sanderson and Marianne Jungles Sanderson. She grew up in Lometa.
Dianne was happiest when sewing, cooking, gardening and traveling before her husband retired from the Army. She spent most of her time making sure her home was loving and welcoming to all.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joe Carden; two daughters, Melissa Carden and husband Justin Goltermann of Somerville, Massachusetts, and Teresa Carden of Jourdanton, Texas; three brothers, Joe Sanderson of Dripping Springs, Jimmy Sanderson of Kingsland, and John Sanderson and wife Lorinda of Johnson City; two sisters, Denise Reel and husband Thomas of Canyon Lake, and Debra Koslan and husband Byron of Moline; one grandchild, Lauren Wells; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dianne was preceded in death by her sister, Dolores Butterfield, and by a son, Michael Carden.
A service will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Lometa March 8 at 10 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Long Cove Cemetery. Heritage Funeral home of Lampasas has charge of arrangements.
