Edward Jay Nixon, 82, was a world traveler and lived many places, but he made his home in Kempner with his wife, Sandy Nixon. Ed died at his home on July 17, 2022 from natural causes. Ed was born Dec. 10, 1939 in Central Lake, Michigan to Margaret (Dillingham) Nixon and Gerald Edward Nixon.

Nita V. White was born on Jan. 31, 1928, to Syble and Raymond Smith at her grandparents’ house in Briggs, and she died peacefully on July 23. Memorial services are scheduled for July 30 at 10 a.m. at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Graveside services will follow at Davis Cemetery in Briggs.

Theodore J. Alexander, 73, died in San Antonio on July 14, 2022 of natural causes. He was born on Oct. 23, 1948, in Abilene, one of five sons of Marion Robert Alexander Sr. and Margaret Shipman. He graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School in San Antonio, where he was a student-athlete.

Darlene Patterson-Ray died on July 19, 2022, at AdventHealth Rollins Brook in Lampasas. Darlene was born July 23, 1937 in Burnet to Jim and Mabel (Hines) McGuire. She was married to Leslie Patterson until his death. She remarried in 1993 to Howard Ray. Darlene held many vocations in her life.
