Mr. Pringle

Retired football coach Bill Pringle died on Oct. 13, 2022, at age 88 after a battle with cancer and diabetes. He was born on Aug. 12, 1934, in Abilene to Erna Mae and Walter Odis Pringle. Coach Pringle was best known for his years as a college and high school football coach in Texas.

Mr. Brewer

Ernest Brewer Jr., 84, of Izoro, died Oct. 13, 2022 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple. Rosary was recited Oct. 17 at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel, followed by visitation. Mass of Christian burial will be held Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Mrs. Luce

Patricia Rose Luce, 88, died on Oct. 10, 2022, in Llano. Interment will be held at a later date at Hope Cemetery in Henrietta. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements. Patricia was born on July 20, 1934, in Wichita Falls to Arthur Lindsay and Ruby Patterson Lindsay.

Mrs. Goodwin

Laura Elaine Goodwin, 75, died on Oct. 2, 2022, at her home in Lampasas. She was born on Jan. 8, 1947, in Lampasas to Lamartine and Mattie Belle Goodwin. Laura grew up in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School in 1965.

Mr. Laifer

Retired Air Force Maj. Frank L. Laifer, 89, died Oct. 8, 2022 in New Braunfels, where he moved from Syracuse, New York, to be near family. Graveside services with military honors will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Oct. 13 at 9:30 a.m. Mr.

Mr. Jones

Michael Lee Jones, 49, died on Sept. 25, 2022, in Torrance, California. Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Oct. 15 at 11 a.m., with a visitation an hour prior. Interment will follow at Rock Church Cemetery in Rumley. Michael was born on Jan.

Mr. Smith

Douglas Lee Smith, 57, died on Oct. 3, 2022, at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Oct. 7 at 10 a.m. Doug was born on July 8, 1965, in Lampasas to Denzel L. Smith and Peggy Wren Smith.

Mrs. Rhoden

Winifred Gordon Rhoden died on Oct. 1, 2022. She was 101. Winifred was born in Coleman on Nov. 27, 1920 to Walter and Mary Gordon. She graduated from the University of Texas, and in 1945 she married Jesse H. Rhoden Jr.

Mr. Warner

Willis Dale Warner, 82, died Sept. 29, 2022 in Lampasas, after a battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel at 10 a.m. Oct. 8. Burial will follow at Hines Chapel Cemetery in Adamsville. Willis was born on Feb.

Mrs. Poe

Doris M. Griffin Poe of Lampasas died Sept. 23, 2022 at the age of 91. Doris was born Dec. 25, 1930 in Round Top to Moody E. Henniger and Ella E. Stork.
