Patricia Rose Luce, 88, died on Oct. 10, 2022, in Llano.
Interment will be held at a later date at Hope Cemetery in Henrietta. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.
Patricia was born on July 20, 1934, in Wichita Falls to Arthur Lindsay and Ruby Patterson Lindsay.
After high school, Patricia attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, where she studied journalism and accounting.
She married Charlie Luce in 1954 in San Diego, California, and they were married for 66 years.
As a Navy wife, Patricia traveled abroad and lived in many locations on the Pacific and West Coast. She worked as a bookkeeper and real estate agent for Lee Mather Company in Coronado, California. She enjoyed league bowling, collecting Raggedy Ann memorabilia and reading. Patricia loved her Lord Jesus and served in many church congregations as a children’s Sunday school teacher and Vacation Bible School worker.
Her love for reading and books was manifested in her role as a longtime volunteer in the Henrietta, Texas library.
When she and Charlie moved to Lampasas, she enjoyed fellowship and bingo games at the Lampasas senior center and spending time with her family.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include her son, Charlie Luce Jr. (Niccole) of Los Angeles, California; her daughter, Vicki (Neill) Herndon of Lampasas; grandson, Kevin Ray (Catherine) Herndon of Henrietta; and great-grandchildren Brin and Charlie Herndon of Lampasas.
