Mr. Bates

Harold Bates, 77, of Lampasas died Sept. 25, 2022 in Lubbock. Harold was born at Rollins Brook Hospital in Lampasas on Aug. 27, 1945 to William Denton Bates and Allynn Skeen Bates. He attended Lampasas and Liberty Hill schools before graduating from Leander High School.

Mr. Hamilton

Marvin Hamilton, 80, of Lampasas, died on Sept. 24, 2022, in McGregor. Visitation was held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Sept. 28. Graveside services were at Bethel Cemetery in Burnet County on Sept. 29. Marvin was born on Jan. 26, 1942 in Briggs to Leroy and Nettie Mae (Minton) Hamilton.

Mr. Tombaugh

Donald Clive Tombaugh, 89, of Lampasas died on Sept. 18, 2022, in Temple. Don was born on Jan. 1, 1933, in Beaumont to H.C. and Myrtle Tombaugh. He graduated from Lometa High School and then attended the University of Texas in Austin.

Mr. Averitt

Eric Blake Averitt died on Sept. 16, 2022, at AdventHealth Central Texas hospital in Killeen at age 24. A service will be held at Christ the Rock Church, 2514 East U.S. Highway 190 in Lampasas, on Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.

Mr. Milam

Cody Milam, 30, of Purmela died on Sept. 16, 2022. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 24 at Boots and Saddle Cowboy Church, 8727 West U.S. Highway 84 in Gatesville, with the Rev. Max Gunn officiating. Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville has charge of arrangements.

Ault infant

Trigger Joe Ault, 9 months old, died Sept. 16, 2022 at his home in Lampasas. Trigger was born on Dec. 13, 2021 in Georgetown to Tabitha Kepler and Thad Ault. He had grown up in Austin under the care of Dell Children’s Hospital, and his parents were able to come home to Lampasas on July 1, 2022.

Mr. Thompson

Malcolm Edward Thompson III, 58, died on Sept. 16, 2022, in Killeen. Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Sept. 21 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at First Baptist Church in Lampasas on Sept. 22 at 2 p.m., with interment to follow at Rock Church Cemetery in Rumley.

Mrs. Forbes

  Wanda Darlene Forbes, 75, of Lampasas died on Sept. 8, 2022. Memorial services will be held at First Street Church of Christ on Sept. 24 at 10 a.m., with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.

Mr. Delagado

Joe Edward “Eddie” Delgado died Sept. 6, 2022. He was born on July 22, 1953, to John and Janie (Gill) Delgado in Burnet. He grew up in Lampasas and eventually moved to Cleburne to be closer to his kids and grandkids, and eventually his greatgrandkids.

Mrs. Wilson

Johnnie Kenan Wilson, 97, died on Sept. 2, 2022, at River Ridge Nursing Home in Corpus Christi. Graveside services will be held at Naruna Cemetery on Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. The family will greet friends and relatives at 9 a.m. before the service. Johnnie was born on Oct.
