Paul Culp -- founder of Paul’s Fertilizer -- dies

Retired Lampasas businessman/rancher Paul Maxwell Culp died Feb. 19, 2021 at the age of 89. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m Feb. 23 at Sneed Funeral Chapel, with an opportunity to visit with the family after the service. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Feb.

Mr. Bertrand

Jerry W. Bertrand, 76, died on Feb. 13, 2021 at Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 22 at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. Jerry was born Sept. 19, 1944 in Crowley, Louisiana to Joseph M. Bertrand and Viola Sarver Bertrand.

Mrs. King

Dorothey was born to the late MC (Crockett) Alexander and Pellie Alexander, and was raised in Upshur County. She was married to the late Albert F. King and was the mother of Donald Wayne King (wife Debbie), Kathryn Diane King, and Patricia King Scott (husband David).

Mr. Loya

Alehandro Ayala Loya, 76, died Feb. 9, 2021 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Feb. 18 at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. Funeral services will be Feb. 19 at 1 p.m.

Glen Hanson, 66, died unexpectedly on Feb. 9, 2021, at AdventHealth Central Texas in Killeen. A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced on his Facebook page. Sneed Funeral Chapel of Lampasas has charge of arrangements.

Randall Grant Johnson

Randall Grant Johnson of Aggieland, Bryan-College Station, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 7th, 2021 at the age of 44. Randall was born on August 4, 1976, in Lampasas, Texas, to his family of mother Sharron Bullock and three sisters, Sheila, Lora, and Shari.

Services for longtime teacher rescheduled for Sunday, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m.

Dixene Allison, 89, of Gatesville died Jan. 28, 2021 at a Gatesville hospital after a brief battle with COVID. Emilye Dixene Allison was born on July 8, 1931 in Lampasas to the late Richard Thomas Bean and Cassie Mae McLean Bean. She attended schools in Lampasas.
