Steve Raymond Mooney, 71, of Lampasas died on Sept. 14, 2021 at AdventHealth Central Texas in Killeen. Visitation will be Sept. 23 at Sneed Funeral Chapel from 6-8 p.m. Graveside services will be Sept. 25 at Oak Hill Cemetery at 10 a.m.

Myrtle Ruth Sneed Bell Hughes

Myrtle Ruth Sneed Bell Hughes, 94, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at her home in Austin, TX. She was born on July 20, 1927, in Port Lavaca, TX to Ollie Ethel Morris and John Omar Sneed.

Mr. Griffin

Jerry Albert Griffin of Adamsville died on Sept. 5, 2021 at home. He was born on June 21, 1935 to the late Clarece Price Griffin and Luther Griffin in Lawton, Oklahoma. He earned master’s degrees in archeology and in anthropology.

Mr. Windwillow

Bernard “Tom” Windwillow was born Aug. 21, 1944 in Long Beach, California, the only child of Marion T. Clark and Robin A. Burton. He died unexpectedly on Aug. 24, 2021 at a hospital in Temple, Texas. Tom was a Vietnam-era Army veteran, having served as a medic with the 101st Airborne.

Mr. Flores

Benjamin Bancaco Flores Jr. of Lampasas died on Aug. 31, 2021 at AdventHealth Central Texas in Killeen. He was born on July 15, 1956 in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Benjamin Bancaco Flores Sr. and Leticia Flores. He had lived in Lampasas since 2000, moving here from Guam.

Mr. Mardis

Charles James Mardis Sr., 82, of Copperas Cove died on May 27, 2021. An interment service will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 20 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Charles was born on April 23, 1939, in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. He joined the U.S.

Mr. Lopez

Steve M. Lopez, 75, of Lampasas died at his residence on Aug. 26, 2021. He was a lifetime resident of Lampasas, born on Nov. 18, 1945 to Guadalupe Lopez and Nasaria Mejia Lopez. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. During his younger years, Steve had been a laborer.

Mr. Biddy

Clarence Ray Biddy, 67, of Lampasas died at his residence on Aug. 24, 2021. He was born in Odessa to William Doyle Biddy and Ruth Elderidge Biddy on Sept. 2, 1953. He had lived in Lampasas his entire life. He and Lena Jean Rhymes were married on Aug. 6, 1984 in Lampasas.

Mr. Hernandez

Arcadio Ortiz Hernandez, 80, of Lampasas died on Aug. 28, 2021. Visitation will be held at Sneed Funeral Chapel on Sept. 2 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sept. 3 also at Sneed Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Arcadio was born in Big Spring on Aug.

Mrs. Gonzales

Mary Alice Gonzales, 73, 0f Lampasas died on Aug. 22, 2021 in Jarrell, at the home of her daughter. She was born on June 28, 1948 in Greeley, Colorado to Seferina B. Marez. At 11 months old, she and her mother moved to Lampasas from Colorado. She lived her entire life in Lampasas. She and Blas M.
