Michael Randy Nolin, 65, died on Dec. 5, 2022, in Lampasas. Memorial services were held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. Mike was born April 4, 1957 in Augsburg, Germany, to Leo J. Nolin Jr. and Christa Nolin. He was an employee of Sprint for over 40 years.

Patrick Morin, 61, died on Dec. 10, 2022. Memorial services were held Dec. 15 at 3 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church in Lampasas. Patrick grew up in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School in 1979.

Jerry Lou Tipton, 81, died on Dec. 12, 2022, at her home. She was born in Lamesa on Dec. 17, 1940, to the late Bird and Clara (Works) Owen. At a young age she moved with the family to Earlsboro, Oklahoma, where she attended the Prairie View Elementary and Pleasant Grove schools.

Rachel Dawn Mae Swope Gill was born Dec. 21, 1976, and she died Dec. 2, 2022. Rachel was a 21-year Army wife to her husband, Mickey Gill. She was a mother of four and a doting “YaYa” to one grandson. Rachel had a smile that could light up a room.

Peggy Ann Hopson, 83, of Lampasas died at her home on Dec. 10, 2022. Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Dec. 15 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. at Maxdale Cemetery in Bell County.

Justin Eli Sutton, 36, of Lampasas, died on Nov. 30, 2022 in his home. He was born Sept. 23, 1986 in Lampasas. He graduated from Lampasas High School and had an associate degree in wildlife management. Justin was a roofer by trade and owned a roofing business.

Longtime Farm Bureau director and former board president Barney Groves Jr. died on Nov. 30, 2022 at the age of 91. He had lived his entire life on the Groves’ Lampasas County ranch near Rumley. Visitation will be Dec. 11 from 6-8 p.m. at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas.

Jo Lea McBride, 66, died on Nov. 24, 2022, at her home in Round Rock. Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Dec. 2 at 11 a.m., with a visitation an hour prior. Jo Lea was born on July 22, 1956 in Lampasas to Dale and Jennene (Hatfield) McBride.

Thomas M. Thomas Sr., 79, of Kempner died on Nov. 24, 2022, in Lampasas. He was born to Helen Thomas and William Thomas on Nov. 27, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, where he met and married Jane Frances and started a family. Thomas is survived by his sister, Karen Kendal; five children, Thomas M.

Bobby Pepper, 69, died on Nov. 18, 2022, in Lampasas. A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Nov. 28 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Taylor. Military honors were rendered by the U.S. Navy. Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas had charge of arrangements. Bobby was born Aug.
