Mr. Bigham

Richard Lee Bigham, 66, died on Dec. 11, 2023 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple. A memorial service will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas at 11 a.m. Dec. 21, with burial to follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Dimas

Sally “Mamaw” Dimas, 90, died on Dec. 12, 2023, in Lampasas. Rosary was held Dec. 14 at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel, and visitation followed. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Dec. 15 at 2 p.m., with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Odom

Dorothy Louise Odom of Lampasas died on Dec. 9, 2023, at AdventHealth Central Texas hospital in Killeen. She was 94. Dottie, as she was known by friends and family, was born on April 8, 1929, to Eldie May (Brown) and Warren A. Gore in Hale Center. She was the eighth and youngest child.

Ms. Ybarra

Consepcion Ybarra, age 88 of Lampasas, died on Dec. 8, 2023. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 12 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Rosary was at 6 p.m. Dec. 11, with a visitation that followed at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Ross

Betty J. Smith Ross of Lampasas died on Dec. 3, 2023 after a battle with cancer. She was 61. Betty was born on Oct. 12, 1962 to Lavell “Doc” and Jewell Smith in Lampasas.

Mrs. Shrader

Jane Claire Field Shrader, 88, died peacefully on Nov. 11, 2023, in Burnet after a long illness. Memorial services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Dec. 27, 2023, at 10 a.m. Interment following the service will be private.

Mr. Worsham

Jerry “Buddy” Shawn Worsham Jr., 19, died on Nov. 29, 2023. Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Buddy was born on Dec. 19, 2003, to Jerry Shawn Worsham Sr.

Mrs. Cowan

The family of Laura Cowan has announced her death on Nov. 25, 2023. Laura was a beacon of warmth and kindness. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she had an ability to make others feel valued and loved.

Mr. Walton

Winston Walton died Nov. 18, 2023, after a long illness. Born July 27, 1942 in Hamilton, he was a teacher, a chemist, a builder and a fourth-generation rancher in Lampasas and Hamilton counties. Walton also served on the Lampasas Independent School District Board of Trustees from 1996-2002.

Mrs. Ellis

Thelma Louise Ellis, 85, died on Nov. 29, 2023 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Round Rock. Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Dec. 3 from 5-7 p.m. Graveside services will be at Levita Cemetery in Levita on Dec. 4 at noon.
