The family of Laura Cowan has announced her death on Nov. 25, 2023.
Laura was a beacon of warmth and kindness. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she had an ability to make others feel valued and loved. Her hugs had the power to heal, to reassure and to express a depth of love that words could not adequately capture.
Born on June 12, 1967, Laura dedicated herself to spreading joy, lending a helping hand and creating a legacy of love. Her impact reached far beyond her immediate circle.
Laura was preceded in death by mother, Cathy McElwain; brother, Tim Ellerbee; and husband, Wesley F. Cowan Sr.
Survivors include her brothers Tom Ellerbee and Rick Ellerbee; children Leslie, Wesley, Brandy, Robyn and Danny; and grandchildren Kevin, Ethan, Jace, Madeline, Jaycob, Keira, Smythe, Caelyn, Autumn, Molly, Christopher, Kayden, Logan, Anastasia, Allie and Saydi.
A memorial service was held Dec. 1 from 5-6 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas.
