Marion Thurmolene Campbell Jennings, known as 'Honey,' of Lometa, died on June 1, 2026. She was 72.She was born on June 5, 1953, in San Saba.Marion graduated from Boswell High School in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw area. She also attended classes at Central Texas Commercial College.

Pansy Hughes Urofsky died peacefully on May 31, 2026.She was born in Kempner on Aug. 30, 1936, to Saba and George Hughes.Pansy married Murray Urofsky on Feb. 16, 1957. They were blessed with four children: Philip, Craig, Jeff and Christy.

Richard John Fay, 79, died May 20, 2026, at his home in Lampasas.Rosary will be recited at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on May 26 at 6 p.m., with visitation to follow until 8 p.m.The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on May 27 at 10 a.m.

Esther Gail Newton died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on May 17, 2026, at the age of 83.Gail was born on May 30, 1942, in Pryor, Oklahoma, to Charles Ralph Gibson and Eva Maurine Sutherland Gibson.

Mr. Burkett

David Burkett died May 20, 2026, at Lampasas Nursing & Rehabilitation. He was 64.David’s body is to be cremated. A memorial gathering will be planned to honor him at a later date.David was born Dec. 9, 1961, to Louis Burkett Sr. and Carol Burkett.For a while, he worked with his son doing carpentry.

Shirley Jean Patterson McNiel, 90, a lifelong resident of Lampasas, died peacefully on May 14, 2026.She was born at Rollins Brook Hospital in Lampasas to John Calvin and Geneva Esdale Hetherly Patterson on March 1, 1936. She was their only child.
