Funeral set for former Kempner mayor Cook

Longtime Kempner City Councilman Paul Franklin Cook, who also served a year as mayor, died Feb. 9, 2021 at the age of 83. Visitation will be held Feb. 26 from noon to 1 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, followed by a memorial service.

David Louis Watts, 54, who was born in Pasadena, Texas and was a 22-year resident of El Paso, died on Feb. 17, 2021. The family will hold visitation at Mt. Carmel Funeral Home, 1755 N. Zaragosa in El Paso, on Feb. 23 from 3-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 5 p.m.

Patsy Jewel Whitwell Yeary

Patsy Jewel Whitwell Yeary passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 in Bertram, Texas. She was born on June 9, 1926 in the Sand Hollow Community, Frio County, Texas to Joseph 0. and Margaret Ann Riggs Whitwell. On March 9, 1946 she married Milton Fred Yeary.

Ramona Kay Kreiser-Hall, 52, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, in Lampasas. She returned to her parents’ house in Lampasas, TX to be cared for and surrounded by her family, and she passed away peacefully in the early morning with her husband Gary and family by her side.

Jerry W. Bertrand, 76, died on Feb. 13, 2021 at Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 22 at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. Jerry was born Sept. 19, 1944 in Crowley, Louisiana to Joseph M. Bertrand and Viola Sarver Bertrand.

Mrs. King

Dorothey was born to the late MC (Crockett) Alexander and Pellie Alexander, and was raised in Upshur County. She was married to the late Albert F. King and was the mother of Donald Wayne King (wife Debbie), Kathryn Diane King, and Patricia King Scott (husband David).
