Mrs. Aurora Frances Argo, 81, of Lampasas died on March 24, 2021 in Woodruff, South Carolina.
She was born in Lampasas to Jose and Damiana Lopez Maldonado on March 22, 1940.
She married Gary Warner “Victor” Argo in Temple on March 17, 1961.
Mrs. Argo graduated from high school in Lampasas.
She accompanied her husband during his time in the United States Army, traveling to Germany three times, Fort Polk, Louisiana, St. Louis, Missouri, Fort Ord in California, and she visited Paris, France.
She was a sales associate at J.B. White department store in Lampasas. She also was a substitute teacher in Lampasas and El Paso, focusing on the elementary grades.
Mrs. Argo was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lampasas, and a member of the Guadalupanas Society. She was also an ACTS member.
She was passionate and outspoken, and devoted to her children. She enjoyed Tejano and country music and loved to dance.
She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Gabriel Maldonado, Robert Maldonado and Joe Maldonado Jr.; and one sister, Mary Nehib.
Aurora is survived by three sons, Gary Dominic Argo of Lampasas, Jose George Argo (Darlene) of Lampasas, and Paul Argo (Judy) of Leander; three daughters, Gina Marie Robinson (Richard) of Grovetown, Georgia, Donna Morris (Clay) of Woodruff, South Carolina, and Gabriella Ann Argo of Lampasas; two brothers, Charles Maldonado and John Maldonado, both of Lampasas; two sisters, Delphine Kruty of San Antonio and Roberta Maldonado of Copperas Cove; grandchildren Robert, Angela, Tristan, Duran, Keaton, Alex, John, Mark, Luke, Chris, Angelica, Kayla, Justin, Gabriel, Savannah, and Austin; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary by Victor Olivarez was March 31 at Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas.
The Mass of Christian burial took place April 1 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lampasas, with Father Paul Hudson officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
