Mr. Jones

Paul Douglas Jones, born Nov. 11, 1946, died on Feb. 26, 2024. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Douglas Jones II, mother Frances Estelle Jones and father Harney Theodore Jones. Paul was born in Austin and spent a large portion of his life in the Lockhart area.

Mrs. Salazar

Darlene June Salazar, 58, died on Feb. 14, 2024, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple. A memorial service will be held at Lampasas Community Church, 1601 Fourth St., on March 2 at 10 a.m. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements. Darlene was born on Oct.

Mr. Terry

Thomas Keith Terry, 74, died on Feb. 19 at Seton Northwest Hospital in Austin, less than a mile from where he lived with his family for 32 years. A graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on March 3 at 1 p.m. Tom was born on Sept.

Mr. Bristow

William Franklin “Frank” Bristow, 82, of Lometa, died at his home on Feb. 18, 2024. Services will be held at Church of the Hills in Lometa on Feb. 25 at 2 p.m., with visitation an hour prior. Interment will follow at Senterfitt Cemetery.

Mr. Myers

Craymon Augusta “Bill” Myers Sr. died at home on Feb. 17, 2024. Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Feb. 23 from 5-7 p.m. Services will be at Community Church on Feb. 24 at 3 p.m., with interment to follow at Naruna Cemetery.

Mr. Gotcher

Clayton Joe Gotcher, 77, died on Jan. 11, 2024 in Round Rock, after a brief illness. Clayton was born in Lampasas on Jan. 29, 1946 to Joe Bailey and Gilberta Jolly. He grew up in Rumley and spent much of his youth playing and hunting around the Lampasas River.

Mr. Benoist

James Edward Benoist, 96, of Lampasas died on Feb. 12, 2024, at his home in Lampasas. Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Feb. 16 from 5-7 p.m. Services will be held on Feb. 17 at 1 p.m.

Mrs. Simpson

Myrtle Joyce Simpson died on Feb. 8, 2024, in Lampasas at the age of 89. She was born on Jan. 30, 1935, in San Saba County to Jack and Virginia Morgan. Upon graduating from Mason High School in Mason, she married Wilford “Boots” Simpson on March 6, 1953 in Brady.

Mrs. Guptill

Deborah Sue Guptill, 78, of Lampasas died on Feb. 10, 2024. Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Feb. 24 at 11 a.m., with visitation an hour prior. The family requested casual attire.

Mrs. Rollins

Noel Ann Rollins died on Feb. 1, 2024, at the age of 74 in Austin, leaving behind a legacy filled full of love, determination and devotion. Born in Champaign, Illinois on Dec. 30, 1949, Noel was a dedicated daughter, loyal wife, and proud mother and grandmother.
