Annie Marie Kepler, 95, of Copperas Cove, died peacefully at her home on Oct. 14, 2025.She was born on Sept. 8, 1930, in Port Lavaca to John Frizzell and Helen Blyth Frizzell.On May 17, 1950, Annie married the love of her life, Billy Joe Kepler, at Southside Baptist Church in Denison.

Mr. Newman

Roy Lee Newman, born on May 11, 1935, in Rosebud, Arkansas, died peacefully on Oct. 15, 2025, at home on his beloved ranch outside of Lampasas. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, greatgrandfather and uncle whose legacy will endure in those who cherished him.

Mr. Carothers

Jerry Carothers, 85, died on Oct. 17, 2025 at his home in Round Rock. He was born on March 5, 1940 in Lometa to Clive and Ila Cagle Carothers.Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Oct. 25 at 3 p.m. with visitation an hour prior. Burial will follow at Lometa Cemetery.

Mr. Belyeu

Allen Cole Belyeu was born on Aug. 22, 1994 in Floyd County to a troubled family. He was placed in CPS custody at the age of 4 and came to live with Wayne and Kathy Belyeu in Lometa in 1999 when he was 5.He was legally adopted on Sept. 28, 2001, and went to school in Lometa.

William Merritt Romans, 99, of Lampasas, died on Oct. 1, 2025, at Lampasas Nursing and Rehab.Funeral services will be held at Lampasas Methodist Church on Oct. 18 at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Lometa City Cemetery.Merritt was born on Aug.

Mrs. Long

Wilma Faye Reed Long was born at Rollins Brook Hospital in Lampasas to George William Reed Sr. and Hazel Lee Hicks Reed on Aug. 11, 1936.She died peacefully on Oct. 3, 2025, at the age of 89.Faye will rest at Center Cemetery in Lometa, as she preferred no funeral service.

Mr. Howe

Richard Carlton “Budge” Howe, age 83, of Round Rock died on Sept. 27, 2025.Born May 4, 1942 in Sweetwater, Budge was the son of Richard Lee and Juanita Kathryn Howe. He graduated from Lampasas High School.On Sept. 12, 1964, Budge married the love of his life, Martha “Marty” Phillips.

Mr. Kriegel

Mike Wayne Kriegel, BSCE., RPLS, PE, of Lampasas died peacefully on Sept. 23, 2025 at the age of 67.He was born on July 24, 1958, to Martin John and Bessie Lee Kriegel in Kenedy.He lived in New Braunfels, where he started first grade.

Mr. Griffin

Ed Griffin, 100, died Sept. 18, 2025, at AdventHealth Central Texas in Killeen.Funeral services were held Sept. 21 at 3 p.m. at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas, with visitation an hour prior. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.Ed was born on Nov.
