Benjamin “Ben” Eugene Hampton, 40, died on Aug. 24, 2025, at his home in Adamsville.Ben was born on May 21, 1985, in Lampasas to Ronnie and Penne Hampton.He grew up in Adamsville on the family ranch, and ranching became his love. No one who met Ben could forget his infectious laughter.

Ms. Winters

Molly Earl Winters, age 61, of Harker Heights, Texas, died on Aug. 17, 2025.She was born on May 3, 1964, in Lampasas, Texas, to Thomas Earl Winters and Wynona Barnett Winters.Molly was a member of the Methodist Church, and known for operating Oasis Bingo in Killeen, Texas.

Ms. Harkey

Lou Nell Harkey, affectionately known as Aunt Nell, died on Aug. 13, 2025, in Waco at the age of 91. Born on Sept. 11, 1933, in San Saba, she dedicated much of her life to the profession of nursing.

Mr. Morriss

Robert Morriss, 70, of Lampasas died on Aug. 9,2025.He was a skilled carpenter whose work touched many in the community.He was proceeded in death by his son Robert Morriss Jr.

Mr. Walker

Timothy DeWayne Walker, 80, died on Aug. 7, 2025, on his land in Kempner.Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Aug. 12 at 11 a.m., with visitation an hour prior.Tim was born on Dec. 19, 1944, in Lampasas to Clarence W. Walker and Modie Estelle Trousdale Walker.

Mrs. Spivey

Bonita Alice Spivey, 81, died on July 26, 2025, at her residence in Lampasas.Bonita was born on Sept. 13, 1943, in Smackover, Arkansas, to Harvey and Ivy Hardage Adams.The family moved to Monahans, Texas, when she was young. She attended Monahans schools, where she graduated in 1962.

Mr. Gholson

Eldon Allen Gholson, 86, of Lampasas, died on July 28, 2025. He was born on Jan. 2, 1939, in Hamilton to James and Amy (Young) Gholson.Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Aug. 3 from 5-7 p.m.Services will be held on Aug. 4 at 10 a.m.

Mr. Barcenas

Victorío Araiza Bárcenas, 67, of Lampasas, died peacefully at his home on July 24, 2025.He was born on Jan. 12, 1958, in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico to the late Antonio Araiza and Eustacia Araiza Bárcenas.Victorío had made Lampasas his home since 1992.

Vanita Lenore Haynes Craft Schnorrenberg of Kempner died on June 11, 2025 in Smithville. She was 93.She was well known in the Kempner community, having been assistant postmaster and interim postmaster on occasion.
