Carrie Jo Michele Kirk, 51, of Lampasas, died on Sept. 14, 2025.Born on June 4, 1974, at Rollins Brook Hospital in Lampasas, Carrie was the daughter of John and Glenna Bowden.She grew up in Lampasas and graduated with the Lampasas High School Class of 1992.

Mrs. Krause

Gwenlyn Oneta Moore Krause, 95, of Copperas Cove, died peacefully at home on Sept. 4, 2025.Born in Lampasas on Jan. 16, 1930 to Jimmie and Mytle Moore, Oneta graduated from Lampasas High School in 1947.

Mrs. Ault

On Aug. 30, 2025 in Lometa, Sarah Celeste Young Ault died unexpectedly in her sleep at home. She was 43.Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Sept. 12 from 1-2 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Center Cemetery in Lometa at 2:30 p.m.

Mrs. Prugh

Jeanette Anne (Rutherford) Prugh, 101, died peacefully at her home in Lampasas on Aug. 30, 2025.Jeanette was born March 5, 1924, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Mark Houston and Lydia Ruth (Abbey) Rutherford.

Mrs. Townsend

Donna Ruth (Childers) Cass Townsend, 87, died on July 23, 2025, and began her new life in heaven.Donna lived a life of kindness and love, even when she encountered difficult circumstances.

Mr. Welch

David Lee Welch, 43, of Lampasas, died on Aug. 31, 2025, in Buchanan Dam.Memorial services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Sept. 5 at noon, with visitation two hours prior.David was born on May 27, 1982, in Lampasas to Larry Stratton and Bonnie Harrell.

Mr. Daniell

Leslie “Les” Daniell of Lampasas died on Aug. 18, 2025, at the age of 78.Born in Sweetwater on Sept. 21, 1946, Les was the son of Doyle and Reba Daniell.Les graduated from Stephenville High School, Class of 1965.

Mr. Casbeer

George Harold Casbeer, 70, of Lampasas, died peacefully at the ranch on Aug. 30, 2025.Born on Nov. 20, 1954, in Lampasas at Rollins Brook Hospital, George was the youngest son of Thomas “TJ” Casbeer and Lois Casbeer.

Mr. Jones

Leonard “Skip” Norman Jones Jr., 81, of Lampasas, died on Aug. 26, 2025.Rosary will be recited for Skip at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Sept. 3 at 6 p.m., with visitation to follow until 8 p.m.Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Sept. 4 at 11:30 a.m.

Mr. Beene

James L. Beene died on Aug. 11, 2025, at his home in Katy after a brief illness.He was preceded in death by his wife, Anthea Marie Beene; his father, James Clifton Beene; his mother, Lucille Corbin Beene; and his mother-in-law, Ann Schifanella.
