Mrs. Champion

Earlene Kathy Champion died peacefully on Sept. 16, 2025. She was born on Dec. 19, 1960, to Alton Myers and Darlene Colble Myers.A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.Most everyone knew her as Earlene, some as Kathy, and to her grandchildren she was Meemaw.

Mr. Blair

Eddie Flynn Blair, 72, of Waco, died peacefully on Aug. 21, 2025.A memorial service will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Sept. 27 at 10 a.m.Born on Aug. 1, 1953 in Lampasas, Eddie lived a life defined by hard work, sharp wit and a generous heart.

Mrs. Hatchell

Waltraud Hatchell, 77, of Lampasas, died on Sept. 16, 2025. She was born on May 21, 1948, in Mannheim, Germany to Josef and Klara Palluch.Graveside services will be held at Center Cemetery in Lometa on Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Banks

Margaret Jane Banks died on Sept. 10, 2025.“Jane” was born to Frances “Fannie” and Lonnie Taylor on Feb. 9, 1933, in Hill County, Texas.She moved to Austin at a very young age and attended Austin schools from Baker Elementary through Austin High.

Mrs. Hatchell

Waltraud Hatchell, 77, of Lampasas, died on Sept. 16, 2025.Graveside services will be held at Center Cemetery in Lometa on Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.Waltraud was born on May 21, 1948 in Mannhein, Germany to Josef and Klara Palluch.

Mrs. Kirk

Carrie Jo Michele Kirk, 51, of Lampasas, died on Sept. 14, 2025.Born on June 4, 1974, at Rollins Brook Hospital in Lampasas, Carrie was the daughter of John and Glenna Bowden.She grew up in Lampasas and graduated with the Lampasas High School Class of 1992.

Mrs. Krause

Gwenlyn Oneta Moore Krause, 95, of Copperas Cove, died peacefully at home on Sept. 4, 2025.Born in Lampasas on Jan. 16, 1930 to Jimmie and Mytle Moore, Oneta graduated from Lampasas High School in 1947.

Mrs. Ault

On Aug. 30, 2025 in Lometa, Sarah Celeste Young Ault died unexpectedly in her sleep at home. She was 43.Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Sept. 12 from 1-2 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Center Cemetery in Lometa at 2:30 p.m.

Mrs. Prugh

Jeanette Anne (Rutherford) Prugh, 101, died peacefully at her home in Lampasas on Aug. 30, 2025.Jeanette was born March 5, 1924, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Mark Houston and Lydia Ruth (Abbey) Rutherford.

Mrs. Townsend

Donna Ruth (Childers) Cass Townsend, 87, died on July 23, 2025, and began her new life in heaven.Donna lived a life of kindness and love, even when she encountered difficult circumstances.
