Ms. Dalia Guerra Smith, 76, died at home in Lampasas on Dec. 22, 2022.
She was born on Dec. 16, 1946 in Lampasas to Mauro Guerra and Guadalupe Sapien. She had lived in Lampasas most of her life.
She was member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lampasas.
Dalia worked for many years at the Rancier and Rosewood nursing homes in Killeen. She enjoyed barbecuing, baking, cooking, watching western TV shows and her animals. She also loved spending time with family and friends during the Christmas season. She loved to dance and listen to music. Dalia liked to help anyone in need, if she could.
Survivors include her six children, Guadalupe “Lupe” Guerra Lee, Mike Smith, Iona Smith, Robert Guerra, Felicia Guerra and Mark Reyna, all from Lampasas; three brothers, Edward Guerra, Mat Guerra and Roy Guerra; nine sisters, Esmeralda Guerra, Esperanza Guerra, Maryann Guerra, Rosa Guerra, Martina Guerra, Elsie Guerra, Guadalupe Guerra, Sabina Guerra and Dalia Guerra; six grandchildren, Alicia Lee. Annalisa Lee, Jocelyn Smith, Aaron Reyna, Anthony Reyna and Ashley Reyna; and loved ones Monique Guerra, Margie Guerra, Freddy Lee, Beatrice Rosales, Mando Rosales, Julian Rosales, Sophie Deleon, Brian Rendon, Helen Dimas, Michael Rendon, Tommy Rendon, Isaias Rendon Jr., Cynthia Sierra, Lucy Greenburg, Francesca Mendoza, Vanessa Rendon, Lorenzo Rendon, Evon Navarrette, Stella Reyes, Janie Lopez, Melissa Santillan, Sylvia Lopez, Josie Torres, Joanna Mendoza, Jeanette Maldonado, Mona Arreguin, Irama Arreguin. Regina Flegge, Bruce Flegge, Dora Davila, Maria Moreno and Norma Moreno.
Dalia was preceded in death by brothers Richard Sapien Rendon, Isaias “Chayo” Rendon, Adolfo Guerra and Chris Guerra; sisters Ramona Navarrette and Gloria Guerra; and her son Fredrick Guerra.
Visitation with rosary will be from 3-5 p.m. Dec. 30 at Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas.
