Jewell Bethke, 96, died on July 8, 2023, in Kingsland.
Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on July 14 from 6-8 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Live Oak Cemetery in Bell County on July 15 at 10 a.m.
Jewell was born in Florence to John William Glover and Bertha Mae (Willis) Glover.
She loved to dance, and she often could be spotted at AMVETS. She was employed with the Pioneer service station in Lampasas for many years.
Jewell was preceded in death by her son, Jesse Bethke, and by seven siblings.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Wood and husband Craig; son, Johnny Smith and wife Candi; brothers Frank Glover and Jack Glover; grandchildren David Smith, Donnie Smith, Dana Freeman, Darby Wood and Drew Wood; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
