Mrs. Wieser

Jane Wolfe Wieser, 101, died on Oct. 14, 2022, at her home in Lampasas.

She was born in Groesbeck on July 5, 1921, to Herbert and Molly Wolfe.

Jane grew up in Hico, graduated from Hico High School and attended Baylor University.

She married Sidney Wieser in 1940 and lived in Hamilton until 1954, when they moved to Lampasas.

She was a homemaker, a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, a Sunday School teacher, a board member of the Lampasas Public Library, a volunteer at Rollins Brook Hospital, and a member of the Thursday Luncheon Club and an avid bridge player.

Jane is survived by daughters Jean Roesler and husband Jimmy of Lampasas, and Mary Wieser of San Antonio; grandchildren Molly Lesley, and Carrie Shahan and husband Ryan of Lampasas; great-grandchildren Sydney Lesley, Vincent Shahan and Henry Shahan of Lampasas; a sister-in-law, Edwina Wieser, who died on Oct. 16, 2022; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Wieser; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Sidney Darden; brother and sister-in-law Tom and Grace Wolfe; brother Robert Wolfe; brothers-in-law Vincent Wieser, Henry Wieser; and sister-in-law Mary V. Majors.

Private services will be held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.

Memorial donations in Jane’s name may be made to the Lampasas Public Library or St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.
