Thelma Idotha “Dodie” Shaw, 93, died in Stephenville on Jan. 26, 2024.
Visitation will be Feb. 3 at Heartland Funeral Home of Comanche from 2-4 p.m.
Funeral services will be Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. at First Methodist Church in Comanche.
Dodie was born in Lampasas to Willie Bartlett Daniels and Alice Ray (Logan) Daniels on July 24, 1930.
She married John Orville Shaw on June 14, 1947, at Ogles Methodist Church in Lampasas. Together they raised their children Ronnie, David and Tanna in Comanche, where Orville worked as a barber and Dodie worked as a water clerk for the city of Comanche.
She is survived by her husband, John Orville Shaw of Comanche; her brother Bill Daniels of Little Elm; her sister-in-law Mary Reid of Austin; her sons Ronnie Shaw and wife Glenda of Pflugerville, and David Shaw of Comanche; her daughter Tanna Tidmore and husband Bill of Dublin; grandchildren Jennifer Myers, Brandy Shaw, Clayton Shaw and wife Allizza, Callie Hawthorne, Tasha Pack and husband Jeff, Michael Campbell, and Jeremy Shaw and wife Tara; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Deborah Shaw; brothers Logan Daniels and Joe Daniels; sister Ann Shelton; and sisters-in law Marilyn Daniels and Diane Daniels.
