Mrs. Rollins

Noel Ann Rollins died on Feb. 1, 2024, at the age of 74 in Austin, leaving behind a legacy filled full of love, determination and devotion. Born in Champaign, Illinois on Dec. 30, 1949, Noel was a dedicated daughter, loyal wife, and proud mother and grandmother.

Noel started her life out earning her Practical Nursing License from Parkland College, Illinois, that led to a 27-year career with Civil Service/ Department of Defense. During that time she married the love of her life and raised two daughters while traveling the world as a military spouse, living in such places as Germany, Colorado, Washington, and ultimately retiring in Texas.

One could often find Noel curled up in her chair with her favorite blanket, cherished cat Biscuit, and doodling artwork or video chatting with her daughters while cheering on her beloved Steelers or laughing at “The Office.” She treasured memories of summers spent with her grandchildren (who referred to her as “Gram Gram” and “Grammi”), daily chats with her sister or trying her luck at the casinos. She loved RV traveling with her husband, fishing and donating food to the local animal shelter.

Noel is survived by her husband of 55 years, Stan Rollins; daughters Kim and Katie; grandchildren McKenzi, Mia and Josh; and her only sister, Susan.

Noel was proceeded in death by her parents, John and Marjorie Magnuson.

Visitation will be held Feb. 13 from noon to 2 p.m. Funeral services will start at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Crawford Bowers Funeral Home.

Interment will take place in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at a later date.
