Carmen L. Rogers, 86, of Lampasas died June 18, 2023 in Temple.
A rosary was held June 22, and visitation followed at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church on June 23 at 2 p.m., with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Carmen was born in Oglesby to Eusebio Leos and Silvestre Quiroz.
She was employed with Mott’s in Lampasas for 20plus years and then went to work with Lampasas Hardware for another 17 years before retiring and delivering flowers part time with Jones Florist.
She loved to bake and garden and was known to take in her children’s friends as if they were her own.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Rogers, and her brother, Benito Leos.
Survivors include her daughters Denise Cooper and husband Greg of Teague, Regina Love and husband Monte of Port Aransas, and Johnnie Downing and husband Chris of Guthrie Center, Iowa; son, John “Buck” Rogers II of Lampasas; sisters Esther Tombs of Waxahachie, and Teodora Pack and husband Tom of Madison, Tennessee; brother, Frank Leos of McGregor; grandchildren Seth Cooper and wife Megan of Fairfield, Zane Cooper of Temple, Ryan Love of San Antonio, Piper and Payson Downing of Guthrie Center, Iowa, and Cade and Cazely Rogers of Lampasas; great-grandchildren Kenley Robinson, Waylen Cooper, Callum Cooper of Fairfield, and one great-grandchild on the way.
