Mrs. Perkins

Carolyn Ann Perkins, 85, of Lampasas died on Aug. 1, 2022.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church in Lampasas on Aug. 5 at 10 a.m., with visitation an hour prior. Interment will follow at Townsen Cemetery in Adamsville.

Carolyn was born on March 3, 1937, in Lampasas to T.C. and Eileen (Farmer) Shurtleff.

She was strong in her Christian faith and had been a member of First Baptist Church since 1956 where she led a women’s Bible study class for many years. She loved plants, flowers and gardening, and was the first president of the Town and Country Club in Lampasas.

After all her children wentto school, she opened an antique shop called Country Collectibles, which she operated for more than 35 years.

Most of all, Carolyn loved being around her family and friends and enjoyed being in the company of others.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie, and sister, Linda Miller.

Survivors include her sons David Perkins, and Damon Perkins and wife Connie; daughters Dee Ann Howard and husband Gene, and Debra Jones and husband Jeff; a nephew, Steven Miller, and wife Yvette; nieces Monica Joseph and husband Jereme, and Gwenn Erlinger and husband Ray; grandchildren Hollie Smith, Dustin Jones, Marcus Perkins, John Taylor, Amie Cox, Marielle Chambers, Ashley Langley, Kodie Perkins, Brilyn Griffith, Bryce Perkins, Paige Pharr and Megan Cooley; and 19great-grandchildren.
