Carole Sharon Landua Marwitz, 81, of Lampasas died on Oct. 4, 2021 at her residence in Lampasas.
Graveside services will be held at St. Paul Cemetery in Shive (Hamilton County) on Oct. 8 at 10 a.m.
A memorial service for Carole will be held following the graveside service at 1:30 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Lampasas.
Carole was born in Hamilton on Sept. 15, 1940, the second child and second daughter of A.M. “Mack” Landua and Dorothy Marie (Kelm) Landua.
She was baptized on Nov. 17, 1940 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shive, and was confirmed on July 4, 1954.
She married Alton Henry Marwitz on June 7, 1958.
Carole is survived by two sons, Gregory Alton Marwitz of Fort Worth, and Douglas Paul Marwitz and wife Melanie of Cedar Park; grandchildren Shelby, Meagan, Slayter and Ty; a great-granddaughter, Haelynn; a sister, Evelyn Newton and husband Billy Mac; stepbrother, Gene Menzdorf and wife Peggy; sister-in-law, Martha Landua; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Marwitz; mother, Dorothy Menzdorf; father, Mack Landua; stepfather, Joe Menzdorf; brother, Dwight Landua; and stepbrother, David Menzdorf.
