Gwendolyn Ruth Hodges, 92, of Lampasas died on Nov. 16, 2021, at Lily Springs in Lampasas.
Graveside services were held at Groves Cemetery in Lampasas County on Nov. 19.
Gwen was born Sept. 29, 1929, in Lometa to Daniel and Virgy Clark.
She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Lampasas and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Primarily a homemaker, she also worked alongside her husband quite a bit at the gas station they owned, Hodges Exxon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hodges Sr.; sons Jerry Hodges and Daniel Hodges; daughters Katherine and Valory; and by her sister, Carolyn Buckley.
Survivors include her son, James "Butch" Hodges Jr. and wife, Debra; grandchildren Jill, David, AJ, Jeri, Jacob, Timothy and Andrew; and six great-grandchildren.
