Dame "Susie" Anderson, 89, died on July 17, 2021 at her residence in Covington, Louisiana.
Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. July 24 at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas, with graveside services to follow at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Rick Willis officiating.
Susie was born on Aug. 20, 1931, in Seoul, South Korea to Man Bok and Ki Young Choi.
She grew up in South Korea and immigrated to the United States in 1953. After settling in Lampasas, she became a naturalized citizen.
She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for several years prior to her marriage to Edwin "Swede" Anderson in 1964. They were married for 34 years.
Susie was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Lampasas and also spent many years attending the Korean Baptist Church in Copperas Cove.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include her son, Matthew Anderson (Susan) of Covington, La.; her sister, Hak Si Kim of Seoul, South Korea; and many nieces and nephews.
The family requested memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church of Lampasas.
