Mrs. Alderson

Elizabeth Jane Alderson, a longtime resident of Lampasas, died in Lampasas on May 13, 2022.

She was born on Aug. 11, 1929 in Naruna to Jim Tom and Hazel (Martin) Kirby.

Jane married Charles Stillman “Tim” Alderson on April 16, 1946 in San Angelo. They recently had celebrated their 76th anniversary.

Jane enjoyed reading, watching cooking shows and cooking. Her greatest joy was being a mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of First Street Church of Christ.

Along with her husband, Tim, she is survived by sons Dwayne Alderson of Lampasas, Randy Alderson (Marsha) of Spokane, Washington, and Myron Ray (Sharon) of Odessa; daughter-in-law, Sharleen Alderson of Star; one sister, Shirley Campbell (Jim) of San Angelo; sister-in-law, Kate Gilmore of Burnet; and grandchildren Mitzi Reynolds (Patric), Cody Alderson, Kyle Alderson (Krissy), Michael Alderson (Rebecca), Sandra Crawford (Brad), Lyly Birk (Chris), Gabriel Alderson, Bradley Pike (Ysidria), Travis Alderson and Malorie Brugette (Scott).

Jane also had 32 greatgrandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon and Bill Gilmore; a son, James Alderson; grandson, Kirby Alderson; brother-in-law, Howard Alderson; and a sister-in-law, Billie Alderson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. May 21, with visitation one hour prior, at Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas. A livestream of the funeral will be available at heritagefuneraltx.com under Mrs. Alderson’s name.
