Manuel R. Torrez, 84, died on July 27, 2021, in Tucson, Arizona.
Visitation will be held Aug. 10 at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas from 5-6 p.m., immediately followed by a Rosary.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church on Aug. 11 at 2 p.m., with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Manuel was born in Lamesa on Nov. 15, 1936.
He married Dolores Curiel on March 19, 1957, in Lampasas. The couple had eight children, including twins that died at infancy.
Manuel was preceded in death by his father, Casimiro; mother, Refugia; stepmother, Enriqueta Torrez; son, Manuel, Jr.; daughter, Danita; brothers, Gabriel, Angel, Arturo and Adolfo; and sisters, Mary Eloja, Maria and Josephina.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Torrez of Tucson; daughter, Celeste and Brian Kyncy II of Redding, California; son, Federico and Yolanda Torrez of Tucson, Arizona; daughter, Marisol and Barry Jackson of Tucson, Arizona; daughter, Elisandra Torrez of Tucson; 27 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
