Mr. Salazar

Esidoro R. Salazar, 92, of Lampasas died Sept. 29, 2021 at his residence.

Visitation was held at Sneed Funeral Chapel on Oct. 3, followed by a rosary. Funeral Mass was Oct. 4 at

Funeral Mass was Oct. 4 at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Esidoro was born April 4, 1929 in San Saba to Apolonia Rodriguez and Joaquin Salazar.

He was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lampasas and was involved with the Guadalupanas for 23 years. He loved playing his guitar and accordion, and played his guitar at church regularly. He and his wife, Petra, also sang together at home and at the church often.

Esidoro was a migrant worker who loved dancing and would tend to get upset if there weren't any beans or tortillas in the house. He lived life to the fullest and was very self-sufficient. He loved his family dearly.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Petra; son, Joaquin Salazar; and daughters Mary Bocanegra and Dalia Salazar.

Survivors include his sons Isidoro Jr. (Yolanda) Salazar, Richard Salazar and Danny (Oralia) Salazar; daughters Paula (Jose) Tovar, Adela (Tomas) Rojas, Rosa Salazar and Sandra Salazar (Jose Castro); sons-in-law Felipe Bocanegra and Rolando Medina; 36 grandchildren; 106 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
