James “Jimmie” Marshal Perkins, 88, of Lampasas, died on June 17, 2022, at Silver Creek Assisted Living in Lampasas.
Services will be held at First Baptist Church in Lampasas on June 24 at 10 a.m., with visitation an hour prior. Interment will follow at Townsen Cemetery in Adamsville.
Jimmie was born July 13, 1933 in Lampasas to Marshal and Annie Pearl Perkins.
He was a Christian and a longtime member of First Baptist Church. James was self-employed all his life, working as a rancher, hauling cattle and working his land.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Norman Perkins and Dorman Perkins.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Perkins; sons David Perkins, and Damon Perkins and wife Connie; daughters Dee Ann Howard and husband Gene, and Debra Jones and husband Jeff; grandchildren Hollie Smith, Dustin Jones, Marcus Perkins, John Taylor, Amie Cox, Marielle Chambers, Ashley Langley, Kodie Perkins, Britlyn Griffith, Bryce Perkins, Paige Pharr and Megan Cooley; and 18 greatgrandchildren.
