Francisco “Frank” Maldonado, 78, of Lampasas, died on Jan. 28, 2024, at AdventHealth Central Texas in Killeen.
Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas at 1 p.m. Feb. 3, with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery will take place at a later date.
Frank was born on July 25, 1945, in Lampasas to Demetrio and Maria (Bocanegra) Maldonado.
Frank was employed as a journeyman for many years in Fort Worth. After retiring from this occupation, he worked for Lampasas High School for many years and also was self-employed as a barber.
Frank loved playing golf, but more than anything he enjoyed time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Maldonado, and siblings Armando Maldonado, John Maldonado and Sandra Maldonado.
Survivors include his wife, Olegaria Maldonado; two stepchildren; brothers Hondo Sanchez (Teresa), Demetrio Maldonado Jr., Rosendo Maldonado, Alfredo Maldonado, and Mario Sanchez (Ann); sisters Margaret Maldonado, Alicia Maldonado and Raven Blalock (Michael); grandsons Julian and Jordan Maldonado; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
