Robert Wayne Butts, 65, died April 17, 2022, at AdventHealth Rollins Brook hospital in Lampasas.
Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on April 22 at 10 a.m.
Robert was born on May 5, 1956 in Lampasas to Harold and Nelda Munday Butts.
He grew up in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School in 1974.
After high school, he became a master electrician under the guidance of his grandfather, Gene Munday, and eventually, he and his brothers started Butts Brothers Electric.
Robert began working for Lampasas ISD in the late ’80s. He became the director of maintenance and transportation until 2000, when he went to work for Wesley Crow Electric as a project manager. Prior to his retirement, he was an estimator with Canales Sheetmetal.
Robert married Joan Marie Ware in 1975 in Lampasas. They were married for 23 years and had two children.
Robert enjoyed fishing, watching sports and raising goats.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Butts; grandfather, Gene Munday; grandmother, Jack LillaV Hairston Munday; and stepgrandmother, Mary Cox Munday.
Survivors include his son, Kyle (Johnni) Butts of Liberty Hill; daughter, Kelsi (Brandon) Davis of Lampasas; mother, Nelda Butts; brothers Clifford (Jana) Butts, JD (Jan) Butts and David (Sandy) Butts, all of Lampasas; sister, Sherrie Berry of Lampasas; grandchildren Kylee, Brooke, Zyton, Kreed, Hagan, Hartley and Hayes; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
