After having posted declining sales tax revenue over the first quarter of 2024, the city of Lampasas saw its sales tax rebate rise 19% in April. That marks the highest one-month percentage gain since January 2022.

Melinda Picott is looking to bring a voice of care for teachers and students to the Lampasas Independent School District Board of Trustees. Picott is challenging Mickey Edwards for the Place 1 seat after threeterm board member Bill Brister chose not to seek re-election.

Public ceremony set to usher in new fire engine

The Lampasas Fire Department will host an official Push-In Ceremony for its newest fire engine Saturday at 10 a.m. at the fire station, 1107 E. Fourth St. The ceremony will commission the new truck and officially place it into service.

Little Badger Theatre camp set for May

The Little Badger Theatre Camp is seeking student participants for this year’s annual production. The Lampasas Theatre Company and Little Badger Theatre Camp will present “James and the Giant Peach” in late May.
