One dispatcher’s effort during the recent winter storm did not go unnoticed. Through its Facebook page, the Lampasas Police Department recognized an unidentified dispatcher for the kindness she extended.

The Lometa School was covered in snow last week during Winter Storm Landon. County officials reported mininal electric and roadway impact from the freezing precipitation received here.

After not meeting in January, the Lometa City Council had a lengthy agenda to handle when it met Monday evening. The first two discussions involved previous meeting items on trash pickup and the purchase of new police vehicles.

Kempner City Manager David Williams received what he called a “thorough and fair” annual review by Mayor John Wilkerson. During Tuesday’s regular meeting, the Kempner City Council went over Williams’ annual review that had been emailed to them by Wilkerson prior to the meeting.
