EMS calls increased last quarter

In the last quarter of 2021, Acadian Ambulance experienced an increase in service calls which caused longer than usual response time, a representative told the Lampasas County Commissioners Court at its meeting last week.
The exterior of the old county jail was broken down by Alamo 1 construction cranes on Wednesday afternoon. Additional abestos was discovered in the building roof during last week’s abatement, according to an Alamo 1 employee. MONIQUE BRAND | DISPATCH RECORD

Student captures big win

Lampasas FFA member Alyssa Foust won Champion Hampshire Ewe recognition at the San Antonio Livestock Show. She then competed against the other breeds and secured the Supreme Overall Champion of the show and a $15,000 scholarship.

Dedication of Library Park set for Saturday

The Library Park will be the setting Saturday at 10 a.m. for a dedication ceremony and sculpture unveiling. A reception will follow in the library’s Foundation Room. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside the library.
