Officials are considering assessing fees to two cities to pay for additional public safety personnel within Lampasas County. During last week’s regular meeting of the Lampasas County Commissioners Court, County Judge Randy Hoyer brought up the item on having Kempner and Lometa share expenses to supply another dispatcher at the county’s communications center.

The Lampasas ISD Nutrition Services Department has announced that its summer meals program will be offered again this year at no cost. Children and teens through age 18, plus LISD students with disabilities up to age 21, are eligible.
