EDC approves marketing package

The Lampasas Economic Development Corp. Board of Directors approved a $30,000 contract with Chase Kuker and Jordan Kuker for a multi-media package during Wednesday’s regular meeting.

The historic Hostess House is officially back in commission. The building received quite a facelift after undergoing renovation over the last couple of years.

Carroll, Rainwater outline upcoming road projects

Lampasas County Commissioners Bobby Carroll and Mark Rainwater are gearing up for road improvement projects now that temperatures are getting warmer.One priority for both commissioners is addressing maintenance on County Road 3300, which lies in both Carroll’s Precinct 1 and Rainwater’s Precinct 4.

As cooler temperatures wane and warmer temperatures arise, Lampasas County commissioners are set to begin precinct paving projects.Precinct 2 Commissioner Jamie Smart and Precinct 3 Shad Hill shared their plans with the Dispatch Record on possible upgrades residents may expect.

LHS culinary students advance to FCCLA state competition

Six Lampasas High School culinary students are set to show off their skills at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Leadership Conference in Dallas.Students punched their tickets to state after flying high at the Region II FCCLA contest held March 5-7.
