Lampasas’ official high temperature of 107 degrees on Sunday was the city’s hottest day since August 2011, according to National Weather Service records.

Monday’s heat was expected to reach about the same level before temperatures moderated by a few degrees today.

A young motorcyclist suffered minor injuries after a collision with a vehicle Wednesday night, the Lampasas Police Department said.

Authorities said the collision occurred at 8:44 p.m. at the intersection of East Fourth Street and Old Georgetown Road.
