Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge John Gauntt presiding over the day’s hearings. Defendant Adam Shelby McNamee of Killeen entered a plea of guilty at his plea hearing and was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance greater than or equal to 1 gram and less than 4 grams.

Chick-fil-A looking to serve Lampasas

For the foreseeable future, Lampasas residents will have easy access to Chickfil- A’s chicken sandwiches. Monday was the first day the fast-food restaurant’s Copperas Cove franchise set up shop just outside Home Place Floors on the downtown square.

Lometa ISD led by all-female officers

Lometa ISD’s Board of Trustees has made history this summer, by selecting its first all-female officer team. Cristopher Brister was nominated by former president John Hines at the May meeting and sworn in.
